Who are we?

Autonomous vehicles and their surrounding ecosystem are important areas in the strategy of MAN and our partners. Together with digitalization and electrification, they form the building blocks of the future product lineup.

To plan and fulfil their missions correctly and timely, our self-driving vehicles are connected to transport and fleet management systems, as well as customer and authority systems. We provide the platform that integrates, analyzes, and communicates the necessary data between all these systems. This enables us to deliver easy access and economically efficient use of autonomous vehicles to our customers.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Working in the context of autonomous vehicles you will define requirements, concepts, and solutions for various aspects of a Driver-as-a-Service (DaaS) solution within the context of autonomous vehicles.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders and product management, systems engineering, product design and development to ensure cohesive product development and evolve the overall product landscape.
• You will work closely with the product owner to analyze the product scope and break down requirements into epics and user stories.
• You will work closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of concept specification and resolve any concept-related issues.
• You will proactively identify the need for stakeholder alignment and clarification, and independently design, facilitate, and execute workshops to address these needs. You will analyze workshop outcomes and communicate key insights and recommended next steps through sketches, process diagrams, and presentations.
• You will present concepts and solutions to stakeholders and incorporate feedback into the design process
• You stay updated with industry trends and advancements in automated driving technologies to inform design decisions.
• Your task also includes making sure that concepts comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• You take the initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, searching for innovative and pragmatic solutions. You are a result-oriented individual.
• You will conduct user research with customer representatives to formulate requirements and concepts for a DaaS product that integrates well with the customer logistic flows and ecosystems.

What requirements are we looking for?

• Relevant experience (3-5) in the conception and design of products in an international context, preferably in the context of complex software systems
• Requirements engineering: Proven experience in the process of requirements analysis, feature derivation from those requirements, and translation into user stories or tasks
• Discovery: Experience in leading goal-oriented discovery phases, transforming high-level feature ideas into validated and aligned requirements
• Workshops: Relevant experience in preparing, conducting and evaluating workshops with stakeholders to gain insight, understand problems and solve dissent
• Focus and prioritization: Strong focus and prioritization skills with the ability to manage scope and deliver impactful results on time
• Proactiveness: Strong sense of ownership for identifying and addressing work that needs to be done
• Problem solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and solve design challenges.
• Collaboration: Proven experience of working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers and product owners, with a team-oriented mindset
• Collaboration: Comfortable with proactive stakeholder engagement
• Resilience: Comfortable navigating differing viewpoints to drive progress and maintain alignment on project goals
• Communication: Excellent communication skills to articulate concept decisions and rationale to stakeholders

• Experience with SAFE framework is a plus
• Product Owner: Experience or training as a Product Owner
• Industry Knowledge: Prior engagement in the automotive and transportation industry is a plus.
• Discovery: Design Thinking knowledge is beneficial.
• Ways of working: Experience with SAFE framework or other agile frameworks is a plus.
• User Experience (UX) Design: Mastery of UX design methods in both theory and practice
