What do we do on our team?
Autonomous vehicles and their surrounding ecosystem are important areas in the strategy of MAN and our partners. Together with digitalization and electrification, they form the building blocks of the future product lineup.
To control, monitor and assist the self-driving vehicles on the road, a cloud system is needed which connects and collects many different data sources. To operate fleets of autonomous commercial vehicles from a central place, the right data needs to be process and available at the right time at the right place. This helps in establishing the use case for our customers to easily and economically use autonomous vehicles (AV's). We are searching people to participate in the creation of these key components to help build the autonomous future.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Working in the context of autonomous vehicles you will define and communicate a shared technical and architectural vision of our system to ensure an ideal fit to its intended purpose.
- You will validate technology assumptions, evaluate implementation alternatives and elaborate on system architectures.
- You are collaborating with various roles and teams to align on architecture topics and evolve the overall product landscape.
- You will plan and design service ecosystems for our future trucks, using agile methodologies and being responsible for integral parts of our technical roadmap.
- You will be responsible for the system architecture of cloud services that are directly interacting with self-driving systems
- You advise your colleagues and other teams on all questions around cloud system architecture in the autonomous vehicle domain and work together on continuously improving the architecture, services and processes.
- You take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks, searching for innovative and pragmatic solutions. You are a result-oriented individual
What requirements are we looking for?
- Relevant experience in the conception and design of complex cloud solutions in an international context.
- Experience in different architectural patterns and paradigms.
- Emphasis on simplicity and maintainability.
- Experience with creating architecture drawings on different levels and good presentation skills.
- Very good English skills, both written and spoken.
- Team-oriented mindset and strong collaboration skills.
- Having an Agile mindset and good communication skills.
- Solid experience with event-driven and distributed system architectures.
- Experience with cloud provider (preferably AWS).
- Experience with Hexagonal and highly scalable architectures is a plus.
- Experience with SAFE framework is a plus.
