Brief Role Description
In the Software & Processes team at the Bochum location, you will support software development in a wide range of tasks. The focus of the activity is on the construction, commissioning and maintenance of tools and tools. You will get to know the processes of software development and can apply them to your own projects.
The hourly wage of a working student is €17.50.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Agile way of working according to SCRUM
- Programming tools
- Development and further development of internal (web) applications on a central tool platform
- Analysis and implementation of technical requirements in close coordination with specialist departments
- Maintenance and optimization of existing applications and databases
- Containerization and deployment of tools (Docker)
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
Qualification requirements
Professional Qualifications
- Studies: Courses of study in the technical field (e.g. computer science, business informatics or comparable)
- Knowledge of OO programming
- Advanced knowledge of Laravel, SQL, jQuery, HTML, CSS, Git
- Basic knowledge of Python, Docker, VS Code, C/C++, Java
- Good network skills
- Experience with the MS Office package
- Very good knowledge of German and English
- Basic knowledge of Linux server environments
Methodological competencies
- Experience with agile development methodologies, especially SCRUM
- Structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Understanding version control and branching strategies (Git)
Personal skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Very good self-organization and high level of initiative
- It is easy for you to think "out of the box" and to approach challenges creatively
- Proactive and responsible way of working
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies and frameworks
Desirable
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Knowledge of other web frameworks (e.g. Flask, React, Svelte)
- Experience in the enterprise environment
- Basic understanding of IT security and authorization concepts
