Job description:
As a student assistant in the Software Engineering department of Volkswagen Infotainment GmbH, you will actively shape the research and development of new technologies in the automotive context. You will work within an interdisciplinary team on software topics in the field of cyber security. By working with our developers, you will gain insights into project work and knowledge of how various security requirements are implemented in the ECU software.
In the field of ECU development, we are looking for support in the field of post-quantum cryptography and tool development. There are various work packages in these subject areas, such as the integration of a crypto library and the connection of a TEE, as well as the support of the development of scripts for remote SW signing or the creation of AI tools to increase the efficiency of the Secure Software Development Stream.
It is possible to have the activities credited to the ITS degree programme as an internship. According to the ITS PO, the internship can be carried out over 1 year with a lower weekly number of hours, for example.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Knowledge and application experience in a scripting language, such as Python or Bash
- Basic knowledge of software programming in C, C++ or Rust
- Reliable and meticulous, meticulous way of working
- Interest in the practical application of security in software development
Also advantageous:
- Knowledge of cryptography and/or AI
- Student of IT security
What you will learn:
- Knowledge in the field of embedded security
- Programming experience and knowledge of the programming languages C, C++ or Rust
- Insights into embedded software development in the automotive environment
