The Challenge:
We are on a mission to integrate sustainability into every aspect of our business, adhering to the highest standards of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. This role challenges you to spearhead our efforts to transform our company into a model of corporate responsibility. You will navigate the complexities of regulatory compliance, mitigate environmental risks, and cultivate a culture of ESG awareness and action. Collaborating with various departments and our global headquarters, you will develop and implement strategies that not only meet compliance requirements but also drive significant progress in our sustainability journey. Your expertise and dedication will be crucial in ensuring that Volkswagen Financial Services remains a leader in sustainability and social responsibility.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For:
· Helping in implementing comprehensive measures to enhance our company's sustainability from environmental, social, and governance (ESG) perspectives.
· Staying abreast of ESG laws and regulations, ensuring our organization meets all compliance requirements.
· Assessing environmental risks and devising effective mitigation strategies.
· Maintaining and monitoring the Environmental Compliance Management System (ECMS) to ensure ongoing adherence to best practices.
· Preparing detailed reports on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements.
· Fostering a culture of ESG awareness through training and educational programs.
· Supporting the Sales and Procurement Departments in gathering necessary ESG compliance reports.
We Believe the Right Profile for This Job Should Have/Be:
· Educational Background: A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, Environmental and Sea Technology, Ecology and Environmental Studies, Sociology, Social Sciences, Law, or a related field.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to assess environmental risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
· Compliance Management: Experience in maintaining and monitoring an Environmental Compliance Management System (ECMS).
· Reporting Skills: Proficiency in preparing detailed reports on Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements, among other internal and external reports.
· Training and Awareness: Capable of promoting ESG and ECMS awareness through training programs.
· Collaborative Mindset: Strong ability to support Sales, Procurement, and other departments in gathering necessary ESG compliance reports.
· Soft Skills: Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
