Possible Tasks within this Role
- Diagnostics: Performs diagnostic procedures and identifies minor faults in vehicle electronic systems.
- Coding: Carries out basic coding of control units, radio devices, and other systems within assigned authorisations, while strictly adhering to all prescribed procedures and regulations.
- Preparation: Determines the required parts, tools, equipment, and consumable/support materials for repairs, taking into account repair instructions from the ELSA system and complying with the ELSA Repair Manual.
- Quality Assurance: Conducts diagnostics and repair procedures in a manner that ensures the elimination of repeat repairs and recurring faults.
- Training Participation: Attends all training programmes required for the position and specified in the manufacturer's Training Portal.
- Third-Party Training: Participates in training provided by third parties whose systems or equipment are used in accordance with the requirements set out in business and technical cooperation agreements (e.g., wheel alignment equipment operation).
- Repair Execution: Independently carries out repairs in line with generally accepted technical principles and the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations, following instructions from the supervisor.
Qualification requirements
- Education: Minimum Level III vocational qualification (secondary technical education).
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in the same or similar position.
- Language Skills: Knowledge of English and/or German is desirable.
- Driving Licence: Valid Category B driving licence required.
- Personal Competencies: Strong teamwork skills, persistence, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
