Brief Role Description
Electrify America’s 10–week Summer Internship Program targets undergraduate students entering their Junior or Senior years who are eager to acquire practical, real-world experience in the automotive industry. This program is designed for high-potential, highly mobile, and self-starter candidates with a strong interest in the automotive industry. Focused on the development of professional and technical competencies as well as on-the-job training, our Summer Internship Program is an excellent opportunity to explore career choices early on. At Electrify America, interns have the chance to make an impact because we challenge them and trust them to perform meaningful work.
Program Information:
- 10-week Summer Internship Start Date (non-negotiable): June 1, 2026
- Program Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Possible Tasks within this Role
Role Summary:
The Communications Intern will develop a centralized, easy-to-use resource hub that strengthens Electrify America’s communications readiness and engagement across three key areas: Crisis Communications Preparedness, Media & Influencer Relationship Mapping, and Internal Communications Engagement Insights.
Qualifications -
Skills:
- Exposure to strategic communications planning and execution
- Hands-on experience in media relations, social media management, and internal communications
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Specialized Skills:
- Communications

- Thought leadership
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with content development for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand tone and messaging
- Support the creation and organization of thought leadership materials, including applications for speaking engagements and authored content
- Help draft and organize communications templates, such as FAQs, statements, and talking points for various scenarios
- Conduct research on industry trends, media opportunities, and influencer engagement to inform team strategies
- Provide administrative and organizational support for communications projects and campaigns
- Monitor media and social channels for relevant coverage and assist in compiling reports
