Brief Role Description
The Data Analytics Lead position will collaborate with business partners, leveraging modeling and analytics to generate insights and recommendations that address key questions for the company. Specifically, the Data Analytics Lead consults with stakeholders from across the company and leverages business analytics tools to develop, run, and improve a suite of models and forecasts, which are critical to decision-making.
· Within your first month, you will have integrated into the Electrify America team and built a deep understanding of its current data sources, models, and business needs and identified ways to make them more robust.
· By the end of month 3, you will have helped streamline and improve our existing analysis, modelling, and forecasting portfolio.
From there, your role will continue to evolve as our data team grows. Projects may be ad hoc or part of a longer-term initiative.
Role Responsibilities: List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function (total should equal 100%)
Main responsibility – assign % of time spent
· Insight Generation (40%): Using a structured problem-solving approach and data to partner with business stakeholders from across the company to gain insight on key questions and present this analysis and corresponding action plans to leadership.
· Model Development and Improvement (40%): Develop, run, and improve a suite of models and forecasts based on the evolving needs of the company.
Additional responsibilities – assign % of time
· Incorporate automation to create ease of maintenance (10%)
· Reconciliation and validation of data across systems, reports, and supporting systems (10%)

- Strong analytical skills - ability to collect, organize, and analyze data with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong skills in statistical analysis, regression analysis, hypotheses testing, probability
- Strong skills in supervised & unsupervised machine learning modeling
- Presentation skills – ability to turn data into actionable information
- Expert in developing and running queries for relational databases, such as SQL
- Experience with visualization and analysis tools such as Tableau, Looker, or PowerBI
- Experience in Python (Pandas, numpy, scikit-learn)
- Expert in Microsoft Excel, including VBA, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables
- Experience with Agile workflow, project scoping, timeline estimation, process documentation
Desired:
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases and MongoDB query languages
- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake, Databricks, RedShift, or similar
- Experience using cloud-based data managed in AWS S3, Aurora, and DocumentDB
- Experience with version control tools, such as Git or Bitbucket concepts, correlation analyses, and time series analyses
- Experience managing and improving cross-functional processes
Qualification requirements
8+ years of industry experience is required
Education Required:
Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, Data Science or relevant degree
