Brief Role Description

Electrify America’s Data Platform team is charged with providing analytical insight through trusted analytical products & reporting powered by an efficient and validated data architecture. This includes data ingestion pipelines, ownership of data warehouses, business intelligence dashboards, automation of financial and regulatory reporting, and providing analytic thought leadership through statistical analyses and machine learning models.

The Data & Insights Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing Electrify America’s business intelligence portfolio. Specifically, the Business Intelligence & Data Lead will develop the road map for business intelligence solutions, hold prioritization and requirement gathering sessions with the business, and manage the resourcing and sprint plan of the Business Intelligence Specialists. In addition, this candidate will manage the access, organization, and dissemination of business intelligence products.

Role Responsibilities: List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function (total should equal 100%)

Main responsibility – Business Intelligence Portfolio Management - 80% of time spent

  • Responsibility for the full business intelligence product lifecycle from initial concepts to launch.
  • Own and drive the product development roadmap for Electrify America’s business intelligence products.
  • Work cross functionally with software and cloud engineering, marketing, operations, quality, business and sales development, and strategy teams to lead ideation, incubation, development, and launch of data products.
  • Prioritize data product features and functionalities to meet customer needs (internal and external).
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Ensure that the data repositories produce consistent, reusable data.
  • Coordinate and maintain dashboard and reporting workflows: working with stakeholders to gather business requirements and development teams to prioritize development sprints, quality assurance checks, and user acceptance testing

Additional responsibilities – Reporting - 20% of time

  • Provide Leadership and Management with the status of the Business Intelligence portfolio
  • Support Leadership initiatives with Data solutions as needed
  • Create and maintain documentation of BI products

  • Presentation skills – ability to turn data into actionable information through effective
  • visualization and design
  • Strong knowledge and experience defining and prioritizing customer requirements in a highly dynamic environment
  • Resource management · Experience with Agile workflow, project scoping, timeline estimation, process documentation
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Tableau, etc.) and databases (SQL, Unstructured Data, etc.)
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Extensive report design and dashboard design expertise
  • Experience in data mining, trend investigation and resulting business impact
  • Experience in the automotive and/or ZEV industry is desired

Qualification requirements

Years of Relevant Experience:

· 7+ years of data visualization technology experience

· 7+ years of data product development

Education Required:

Bachelor’s in Business Analytics, Data Science or relevant degree
