Brief Role Description

Electrify America is looking for a Contract Solution Architect - SAP S/4HANA & Enterprise Integration to support the implementation, integration, and evolution of enterprise software platforms across the organization. This role will provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for large-scale enterprise initiatives involving SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP Integration Suite, and related enterprise systems.

The selected candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, implementation partners, product managers, technical specialists, and systems integrators to define and deliver scalable, secure, and integrated enterprise solutions. The role requires hands-on involvement in architecture, integration design, cloud platform configuration, and enterprise system modernization initiatives.

The Solution Architect will report to the Sr. Manager, Software Architecture and support broader Enterprise Software initiatives across the organization.

Main responsibility – Solution Architecture (80 %)

  • Review, understand and validate system designs, configuration and integrations proposed by the external implementation team
  • Under the guidance of the Principal Solution Architect, define and specify details of system interfaces to be used as integration points; define specific technical requirements and technical designs to solution implementation
  • Work closely with Product and Project managers to identify the level of progress, quality and readiness of the implementation activities carried out by the external implementation team
  • Collaborate and provide hands-on assistance implementing system configurations to acquire first-hand knowledge of as-built environment and sustain future platform evolution
  • Work with the internal software development team to ensure robust and reliable integration with Electrify America IoT systems
  • Act as a liaison and facilitator to understand business and product requirements and mapping them to the software system and module requirements and architecture of the end-to-end solution

Additional responsibilities – System Configuration and Adjustment (20%)

  • Upon completion of the implementation project act as a technical owner for ongoing sustainment and evolution of the integrated ERP solution
  • Assist in user role and access configuration
  • Implement reasonable enhancements and adjustments of the ERP solution
  • Manage platform version upgrades

 

Possible Tasks within this Role

Specialized Skills: Knowledge or certifications unique to this role

  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise solution development, implementation, and integration.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and SAP Integration Suite.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and SOA platforms such as AWS, Boomi, or similar integration technologies.
  • Experience with enterprise data management, document management, and business process management.
  • Experience modeling business processes using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
  • Experience participating in at least one large-scale enterprise system implementation in an asset-intensive industry as a Solution Architect.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for agile delivery and documentation.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SAP Cloud platform
  • Experience with Oracle databases
  • Experience with information modeling, including document and geospatial data
  • Experience with SAP integrations
  • Experience with Salesforce Integrations

Qualification requirements

Years of Relevant Experience: 

Minimum years of relevant experience needed to perform the job - 8+ years of experience

Education Required:   

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, CIS, or relevant degree or technical equivalent      

Relevant Enterprise/Software Architecture, Oracle DB, SAP ERP certifications are a plus

Skills: General skills needed to perform the job

  • Strong ability to develop and define architecture and technical design for implementation and integration of large-scale ERP systems to achieve business goals and improve productivity
  • Ability to solve problems through digital technology and leveraging integrated software systems
  • Ability to clarify ambiguity to define requirements
  • Ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
  • Ability to perform hands-on scripting, system configuration, administration tasks
  • Ability to document and specify solution architecture, interfaces, information models and other parts of enterprise solution stack
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualization
  • The ability to act as a liaison, conveying business needs to the technical team and technology constraints to the business
