Brief Role Description
Electrify America seeks a contracted Junior Graphic Designer to contribute to the conception and execution of captivating visual designs and marketing collateral. This role will collaborate closely with senior designers, copywriters, and marketing strategy to bring the Electrify America brand and campaigns to life. This role seeks creative flair, attention to detail, and the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing assets, essential qualities that will engage and captivate our target audience.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Design Creation and Execution (70%):
- Primary responsibility of conceptualizing, creating, and executing visually appealing designs for various marketing materials
- Working closely with the team to understand project requirements, developing design concepts, and producing high-quality assets that adhere to established brand guidelines
- Most of the designer's time will be spent on ideation, design creation, revisions, and finalizing the artwork
- Leverages research and analytics
- Collaboration and Communication (20%):
- Effective collaboration is crucial for success in this role
- The designer will spend a significant portion of their time interacting with team members, such as senior designers, copywriters, and marketers, to gather input, exchange ideas, and ensure alignment
- Inspires confidence in our brand and content strategy practices
- Clear and concise communication will be necessary to understand project briefs, present design concepts, incorporate feedback, and provide updates on progress
- Leads effective creative and design workshops
- File Management and Documentation (10%):
- The designer will be responsible for organizing and maintaining design files and related documentation
- Establishes official artifacts (Figma, File Naming, etc.)
- This includes properly archiving project assets, naming conventions, version control, and ensuring easy accessibility to team members
- Keeping design files and documentation well-organized helps streamline workflow and facilitates collaboration within the team
Qualification requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in graphic design
- Design proficiency:
- Strong foundation in design principles, including but not limited to typography, color theory, layout, composition, and visual hierarchy
- Visual Storytelling
- Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, and translate concepts into compelling visual designs
- Attention to Detail
- Meticulous eye for detail to ensure accurate and high-quality design deliverables
- Collaboration and Communications
- Excellent collaboration skills, ability to communicate ideas clearly, and actively listen to feedback
