We are currently hiring a Material Coordination Specialist  to join our Engineering team for our new projects in Sagunto.

 

Our Engineering department takes responsibility for supporting our Volkswagen Group partners in projects within diverse industries and areas such as industrialization, layout design, fire protection, civil, electrical, mechanical and process engineering.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

 

The Material Coordination Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the effective planning, communication, and coordination of test materials during the FAT/SAT and commissioning phases of PowerCo Plants. This role plays a key part in aligning suppliers, internal teams, and customer contacts to ensure timely delivery, technical compliance, and smooth execution of project milestones.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supplier Communication: Act as the main interface with suppliers on behalf of the project team, managing material-related inquiries and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Technical Benchmarking: Conduct technical comparisons and evaluations of material and equipment offers to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Time Plan Coordination: Maintain and communicate procurement and delivery schedules to all stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project milestones.
  • Material Requirement Preparation: Define, track, and report material needs for FAT/SAT activities, including cost control and technical support in coordination with internal teams.
  • Process Design Support: Actively participate in process design and improvement activities for the Valencia site, focusing on optimizing material flow and testing efficiency.
  • Specification and Requirement Definition: Support project teams in identifying, validating, and documenting material specifications and requirements.
  • Expertise Exchange: Facilitate professional and technical communication with the customer's engineering contacts to ensure full alignment of material needs and specifications.

What requirements are we looking for?

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in material coordination, technical project management, or supply chain roles in an industrial or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, and international environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP); experience in project planning tools is a plus.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German or Spanish) are advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel to different plant locations as required.
