We are currently hiring a Industrial Layout Designer to join our Engineering team for our new projects in Valencia & Sagunto. 

 

Our Engineering department takes responsibility for supporting our Volkswagen Group partners in projects within diverse industries and areas such as industrialization, layout design, fire protection, civil, electrical, mechanical and process engineering.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

 

As an Industrial Layout Designer within Volkswagen Group Services, you will play a key role in equipment planning and layout design while driving the development of BIM modeling across the Volkswagen Group with various software tools. Working closely with professionals from different brands, sites, and disciplines, you will deliver precise and efficient layout solutions that meet the highest standards. To succeed in this role, you bring a detail-oriented and organized approach, strong technical and computer skills, and the ability to manage complex requirements with confidence. By combining initiative, effective communication, and a collaborative mindset, you will help optimize production environments and contribute to the success of projects across the entire Group.

 

You will take care of:

  • Use CAD software and BIM to create 3-D plans for projects (Revit, AutoCAD, Bentley HLS)
  • Interact as the main link between clients, selected equipment suppliers, and third-party engineering firms
  • Exchange 3D data via a common platform and ensure proper data management and storage protocols
  • Determine the proper elements and scale for buildings
  • Collaborate on developing new standards for the Volkswagen Group

 

What requirements are we looking for?

 

Industrial Layout Designer need to earn a high school diploma or equivalent, with classes in math, science, design, and computer graphics. Graduates typically continue their education by earning an associate degree from a community college or a certificate from a technical school.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree as Civil engineer, MEP, Industrial Engineering
  • HLS, AutoCAD, Revit, MEP, Layout design
  • AutoCAD/Revit skill: Expert level: 7 or higher on a 1-10 scale, 2+ years experience

 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Expertise in time management and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to understand technical drawings and plans
  • Advanced math and computer skills
