We are currently hiring a Fire Protection Specialist to join our Engineering team for our new projects in Valencia & Sagunto.

 

Our Engineering department takes responsibility for supporting our Volkswagen Group partners in projects within diverse industries and areas such as industrialization, layout design, fire protection, civil, electrical, mechanical and process engineering.

 

What will your responsibilities be?

 

As a Fire Protection Specialist, you will advise on hazard assessments in the field of sprinkler technology and prepare specifications for tendering sprinkler and extinguishing system concepts. You will accompany the tender process for extinguishing systems, provide technical support to the Fire Protection Task Force, and coordinate interfaces in plant planning. In addition, you will consult specialist companies on the planning of sprinkler systems and maintain professional communication with customers. Your role also includes comparing and evaluating supplier offers as well as planning protection concepts for machines and plants.

 

You will take care of:

  • Provide expert advice on hazard assessments related to sprinkler, extinguishing, and fire detection technologies

  • Accompany and support tender processes for the Operations and Facility departments regarding automatic extinguishing systems and fire detection solutions

  • Plan and develop holistic protection concepts for machines, plants, and infrastructure

  • Advise specialist companies on the planning and integration of fire detection and extinguishing systems

  • Provide on-site support during the installation phase, including supervising construction and assembly work and ensuring compliance with fire protection requirements

 

What requirements are we looking for?

 

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Fire Protection Expert or in a similar role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

  • Solid knowledge of local legislation and regulations relevant to fire protection in Valencia

  • Proven track record in managing fire safety audits and fire risk assessment programs

  • Practical experience in sprinkler design

  • Excellent English and Spanish language skills, both written and spoken

  • Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of commitment
