We are currently hiring a Junior Planning Engineer to join our Engineering team for our new projects in Valencia & Sagunto.
Our Engineering department takes responsibility for supporting our Volkswagen Group partners in projects within diverse industries and areas such as industrialization, layout design, fire protection, civil, electrical, mechanical and process engineering.
What will your responsibilities be?
As a Junior Planning Engineer you support and coordinate the selection of suitable equipment within a machinery fleet for new, but also for existing projects for all areas of battery cell and battery module production as well as car production as part of detailed planning activities.
Project related:
- Support the process from concept phase to final machine acceptance, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Act as support for the technical and communication link between suppliers and internal specialist departments (e.g. production, quality assurance, maintenance).
- Help monitor project-related KPIs, including schedule adherence, budget compliance, and quality standards under guidance.
- Assist with the preparation, organization and maintenance of project documentation (e.g. specifications, approvals, test protocols, change logs).
Secondary functions:
- Support in developing manufacturing concepts within the scope of plant and equipment planning.
- Assist in preparing technical specifications and tender-ready documentation for detailed engineering.
- Prepare and support technical evaluations of supplier offers as part of the equipment sourcing process.
- Support the planning process of layouts, bill of quantities, procurement plans, and presentation materials.
- Support adherence to internal procedures, external standards, and legal regulations within the assigned scope of work.
What requirements are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Security Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 1 to 4 years of experience as Project Planning, Production Planning, or related field.
- Ideal to bring experience with Fire Protection, Construction facilities, Layout Designing.
- Organization, detail orientation and order skills.
- Proactivity, openness to knowledge and to learning.
- Solid knowledge of local legislation and regulations relevant to fire protection in Valencia
- Excellent English and Spanish language skills, both written and spoken
- Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, combined with a high level of commitment
